Tooele County Stronger Together Commitment

Tooele, Utah — Tooele County Health Department, along with the Tooele County Chamber of Commerce and Tourism, are working together with businesses to demonstrate that they are providing safe services.  Businesses that take the Tooele County Stronger Together Commitment are assuring that their business is following the industry specific guidelines in the Utah Leads Together 2.0 plan.   This commitment is to inform visitors of a business of a community-wide effort, the Tooele County Stronger Together Commitment.  This commitment is in collaboration with the Tooele County Health Department and the Tooele County Chamber of Commerce and Tourism to ensure the health and safety of community members during each of the health and economic recovery response phases. The Tooele County Stronger Together Commitment is two-fold including, 1) Businesses and community members and 2) Customers and visitors.

“If we all work together to adhere to the basic principles of the Tooele County Stronger Together Commitment, we will be able to continue to maintain operations, keep our doors open, protect the public’s health, and minimize the impacts of COVID-19,” states Jeff Coombs, Tooele County Health Department Executive Director/Health Officer.

Visitors can view the commitment made by businesses to adhere to the Tooele County Stronger Together Commitment by seeing posted certificates. These certificates are obtained by the businesses agreeing to follow the industry-specific guidelines by resuming business with protocols in place to provide protection to minimize COVID-19 exposure risks for employees and the public.  Guidelines such as employers taking extreme precautions, providing accommodations to high-risk employees, symptom checking, ensuring social distancing, and proper cleaning and hygiene practices.  Industry-specific guidelines can be found at:
