Recovery Message Training- This training will detail how to use recovery friendly language when disclosing personal stories.

Message workshop: In approximately 1 hour we present a workshop that details how to use recovery friendly language when disclosing our personal stories. We discuss the video “The Anonymous People” and encourage everyone to practice sharing their story. As people in Recovery from Substance Use Disorders we have found it important in our recovery maintenance and relapse prevention to share our recovery with all the people in our support system. This means employers, family members, and others. The way we do it is by identifying as a person in recovery. Recovery messaging comes in handy when we are interviewing for jobs and working on expanding our social capital. Our members will interact with potential new members to help build confidence and show support.
